Structure fire in Spring Gully - 28 November 2024
CFS crews were alerted to reports of a fire in a shed of a rural residential property in Spring Gully, just south of Clare in the state’s Mid North region around 9:30 this morning.
Approximately thirty-six firefighters on ten fire trucks responded to reports of a large shed that was fully involved with fire. CFS crews worked effectively to assume control and prevent the fire from spreading to the closely neighbouring house.
A tractor was removed and saved prior to flame impact, however the remainder of the shed and its contents, including a campervan, were a total loss. The damage to the impacted assets is estimated at $250,000.
SA Police and SA Ambulance assisted firefighters on scene and Fire Investigators will attend later today, with no cause yet identified.
End of message.
