The fire at Birdwood in the Mt Lofty Ranges near Rathjen Road and Warren Road remains contained.

Crews will remain at the fire today extinguishing burning trees and hotspots.

Winds strength and direction may vary during the day and as a result residents in the are are advised to remain vigilant as there remains a risk of fire escape.
