ADVICE MESSAGE

Issued for Mintaro

CFS advises that crews are responding to a STRUCTURE FIRE at a hay shed on a farming property at MINTARO.

The location of the emergency is approximately 4km south west of the Mintaro Township and 2.5Km south of Martindale Hall in the Mid North.

This incident is continuing to cause smoke to be seen in the townships of Mintaro, Penwortham, Watervale, Leasingham and surrounding districts. CFS asks that the local community remain aware of this incident. Although fire weather conditions have eased, residents in the vicinity of the fire should continue to monitor the situation and be prepared to activate their Bushfire Survival Plan should the fire escape to surrounding grassland. Crews will continue to monitor and work on the fire throughout the night.

You are advised to close all doors and windows and stay indoors if you suffer from any respiratory or cardiac conditions.
