Fire Origin / Fire Name: PLAYFORD HWY/WEST END HWY , RAVINE

BUSHFIRE ADVICE MESSAGE

Issued for the fire at RAVINE near The Ravine Des Casoars Wilderness Protection Area, part of the Flinders Chase National Park on the Western end of Kangaroo Island

The fire is burning outside of the control lines near Cape Borda. It is likely that the fire will move quickly through the National Park to the South today under Extreme fire weather. This will present a very real risk to all people and properties on the Western end of the island.

Smoke from the fire will be impacting this area before the fire arrives and driving may become dangerous quickly.

If you are in this area stay alert, monitor local conditions and decide what you will do if the situation changes.

At this time there is no threat to life or property and firefighters are attending this fire.
