BUSHFIRE ADVICE MESSAGE

Issued for PLAYFORD HWY/WEST END HWY, RAVINE near Flinders Chase, Ravine De Casoars Wilderness Area, Vivonne Bay, Pandana, Cygnet River and the North Coast of Kangaroo Island

While the temperatures across the fireground today are mild the winds are fairly strong from the South-South East. Crews are continuing to respond to flare ups and hot spots both on the fire perimeter, and in significant areas of unburnt vegetation that remain inside the broader fire area. Creek beds, gullies and the roots and stumps of burnt trees are particular areas of concern. Please note that not all roads have been assessed for safety and there is potential for trees and other debris on the roads. Smoke is still present from both active fire and backburning operations across large parts of the fire area, and this may reduce visibility and cause concern for people with respiratory conditions.

If you are in this area stay alert, monitor local conditions and decide what you will do if the situation changes.

At this time there is no threat to life or property and firefighters are attending this fire.
