MULTIPLE LIGHTNING STRIKES IGNITES FIRES ACROSS SA

The Country Fire Service (CFS) is continuing to work through a series of grass fires, most of which have been caused by lightning strikes in the past 24 hours.
More than 52,000 lightning strikes were recorded over this period between Lower Eyre Peninsula to Gawler.
The CFS has also responded to 26 grass fires since midnight with most of them now under control.
A short time ago a Watch and Act message was issued for a bushfire at Bramfield on Upper Eyre Peninsula near Bramfield Hill.
CFS crews are currently attempting to contain the fire which is travelling in a south-west direction towards Bramfield.
Bushfire Advice messages have been issued for a fire near Mount Wedge about 160 kilometres north-west of Port Lincoln and Darke Peake near the Caralue Bluff Conservation Park on Eyre Peninsula.
Although these fires do not pose a threat to property, people in the area have been advised to follow their bushfire survival plan and monitor local conditions.
