Fire Destroys Building at Lameroo School

Just after 4am SA Country Fire Service (CFS) firefighters were responded to an alarm activation at the Lameroo Regional Community School on Bews Terrace, Lameroo.
On arrival firefighters found a fire in a building containing woodworking, home economics and science classrooms going well.
More than 20 Firefighters, some wearing breathing apparatus, worked hard to contain the fire within an hour, however the building has been completely destroyed.
Firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading or causing any damage to nearby buildings.
Current early dollar damage estimates have been set at $1 million. Fire Cause Investigators from SAMFS and SAPOL have been requested to attend.
Local SA Police and SA Ambulance officers were also on scene.
