Update on the fire on the Yarrowie Road, Appila Fire
ISSUED FOR Appila, Caltowie and Jamestown
The SA Country Fire Service (CFS) has issued a Smoke advice message for the areas of Appila, Caltowie and Jamestown.
As a precaution, residents in the area who suffer from respiratory or cardiac conditions may wish to consider closing all doors and windows and remain indoors.
CFS fire crews and local Farm Fire units will remain in on scene and continue to blackout any hot spots on the fireground.
Please avoid this area where possible as Emergency Services vehicles are still operating in this area.
This fire currently poses no direct threat to the community. Should the situation change, the CFS will issue updated information and warnings to the community.
