The Plantation fire at Ashbourne
ISSUED FOR ASHBOURNE
A fire is still burning freely in pine plantation, near Ashbourne, and is being pushed by a southerly wind.
CFS and Forestry appliances, as well as farm fire units are responding to this fire.
As a result there is smoke drifting in a northerly direction which is currently impacting on the town of Meadows. Any residents in the area with respiratory or heart conditions are advised to stay inside, and close any windows or doors.
