Avenue Range Road Fire

Issued for AVENUE RANGE near Lucindale in the South East of South Australia.

The SA Country Fire Service (CFS) advises that the Avenue Range road fire has now been contained.

The fire has burnt through 125 hectares of grass and scrub. 50 CFS volunteer firefighters on 10 CFS trucks, along with 2 water tankers are being supported by 14 Farm Fire Units. Crews will be in attendance at the fire overnight and tomorrow while they continue to extinguish the fire.

If driving in the area, please take care and be aware of smoke and reduced visibility on the roads.
