Incident Update for Beaufort Fire

ISSUED FOR BEAUFORT

This fire is currently controlled. CFS crews will remain on scene overnight and into tomorrow actively extinguishing hotspots.

CFS advises that the Augusta Highway (National Highway One) has now been re-opened with a 60kph speed restriction in place due to poor visibility from raised dust.

Balaklava Road has also been re-opened between Port Wakefield and Balaklava.

The worst local fire weather conditions are expected to occur between midnight tonight to 4:00am tomorrow. CFS crews will remain on scene throughout this time.

CFS advises avoiding this area as motorists will experience reduced visibility due to high levels of raised dust.
