Update on fire near Clare in the Mid North
ISSUED FOR BOCONNOC PARK
CFS advises that the bushfire at Boconnoc Park, west of Clare in the Mid North has been contained.
CFS has issued a REDUCED THREAT MESSAGE for this fire.
Fire crews remain in attendance patrolling the area and responding to active fire.
Residents are advised to continue to remain vigilant.
Those to the south of the fire are advised the wind change that has now occurred should be taken into consideration when checking your bushfire survival plan.
Road Closure update: All roads have been re-opened to traffic with the exception of Blyth Road which is planned to be open to the public at 5pm today with speed limit reduced to 40km/h. Until that time, the Benbournie Road detour will remain in place.
Residents are advised to check their properties for the presence of fires and embers - particularly in roof spaces, under decks, raised floors and in gutters. The public is advised to take care in the fire area over the next few days.
Members of the public: please do not enter the area unless necessary to ensure your safety, that of the firefighters and the residents protecting their property.
