Update on fire near Clare in the Mid North
ISSUED FOR BOCONNOC PARK
CFS advises that the bushfire at Boconnoc Park, west of Clare in the Mid North has been contained.
A REDUCED THREAT MESSAGE was issued Wednesday afternoon for this fire.
Although some hot spots remain, the CFS expects minimal fire activity overnight.
Fire crews will remain in attendance patrolling the area overnight and throughout Thursday.
Residents are advised to check their properties for the presence of fires and embers - particularly in roof spaces, under decks, raised floors and in gutters. The public is advised to take care in the fire area over the next few days.
Members of the public: please do not enter the area unless necessary to ensure your safety, that of the firefighters and the residents protecting their property.
