Brentwood Haystack Fire

ISSUED FOR BRENTWOOD

At approximately 1:00 am, The Country Fire Service were alerted to a haystack fire 11km South of Minlaton on the Yorke Peninsula.

Crews are currently separating hay bales to extinguish any hot spots. This process is causing a significant amount of smoke over Harry Butler Road and the Brentwood area.

Motorists around this area may experience reduced visibility and are encouraged to proceed with caution. Residents with breathing difficulties should remain in doors and close windows and doors or move to a location away from smoke.
