BUTE FIRE, YORKE PENINSULA
ISSUED FOR BUTE
CFS advises that the fire north of Bute on the Yorke Peninsula is now contained and the threat posed to the community has reduced.
CFS ground crews and Private Farm Fire Units with support of aircraft have protected assets in the area and have contained the fire under challenging conditions.
The fire has burnt through over 200 hectares of stubble and at one stage threatened a farm house that lay ahead of the fire.
Crews will remain in attendance at the fire to mop up any remaining hotspots and to make the area safe ahead of tomorrows Total Fire Ban in the Area.
Residents in the area are advised to remain vigilant and to check and follow your Bushfire Survival Plans.
