BUTE FIRE, YORKE PENINSULA
ISSUED FOR PORT BROUGHTON AREA
The SA Country Fire Service advises that the fire South of Port Broughton on the Yorke Peninsula is now going. The fire has burnt an additional 60 hectares towards Port Broughton. There is currently a 'Watch and Act' message in place for this fire.
The fire has jumped containment lines due to strong winds in the area and crews are working to extinguish the fire.
At 6:30pm there were 15 fire service vehicles, 60 personnel and 4 aircraft working on controlling the fire.
Crews in the form of Strike Teams are being responded from the surrounding areas.
SA Police are supporting the response.
At this time to ensure the safety of fire crews and yourself please do not enter this area.
