Hay Stack Fire
ISSUED FOR CANNAWIGARA
The Country Fire Service advises crews are working to extinguish a hay stack fire at CANNAWIGARA west of BORDERTOWN in the UPPER SOUTHEAST.
Crews are working with machinery to spread out the hay to be able to extinguish hot spots and at times this is causing a significant amount of smoke to be visible from the DUKES HIGHWAY.
Hazards in the area may include reduced visibility due to smoke and emergency vehicles operating in the area. People with breathing difficulties should remain in doors and close windows and doors or move to a location you wont be impacted by smoke.
