Eyre Highway Truck Fire 16/02/2023
ISSUED FOR The Eyre Highway Approximately 25km West of Ceduna
At approximately 04:30am CFS crews were responded to reports of a truck fire on the Eyre Highway approximately 25km West of Ceduna.
CFS Crews are expected to remain on scene throughout the day to monitor for any flare ups whilst SA Police and Department of Infrastructure & Transport arrange the clean up of the scene.
There are currently traffic restrictions on the Eyre Highway with one lane closed. Motorists should be aware that delays can be expected and are advised to keep all windows closed and set their air conditioners to recirculate. The public is asked to avoid the area if possible.
