CLINTON CENTRE HAYSHED FIRE

ISSUED FOR CLINTON CENTRE

The SA Country Fire Service (CFS) advise people in and around Clinton Centre on Yorke Peninsula that a large amount of smoke is visible in the area.

The cause of the smoke is a hayshed fire which will continue to produce smoke which is drifting in the areas of KAINTON, SUNNYVALE and ARTHURTON.

The smouldering fire is confined to the hay shed which has a fire break around the structure. The fire is not expected to break away from the shed and pose any threat to the community. However, CFS resources will remain onsite overnight to monitor for potential breakouts.

As a precaution residents who suffer from respiratory or cardiac conditions may wish to consider closing all doors and windows and remaining indoors.
