COLES FIRE NEAR LUCINDALE IN THE LOWER SOUTH EAST

Last night the Coles fire broke the control lines and continues to burn out of control in bluegums, scrub and grassland.
CFS crew, supported by the Victorian CFS, Forestry Industry brigades, DEW and Farm Fire Units will continue to work on the fireground today and into the coming days. It is expected that there will be over 150 firefighters in the area today. Firefighting efforts are being supported by SAPOL, Salvation Army, SES and St Johns.
The following roads have been closed in the area:
- Khayyam Road to Legges Lane
- Legges Lane at Conmurra intersection,
- Legges Lane at Andres Lane intersection,
- Conmurra Road and Andres Lane,
- Lucindale Road and Clay Wells Road,
- Clay Wells and Diagonal Roads,
- Callendale and Elad Roads,
- Ellison's Road to Callendale Rd, and,
- Spence Road is only accessible to bona fide residents, emergency services and relief agencies.
