Multiple grass fires in the Coorong National Park
ISSUED FOR COORONG
The CFS advises that there are multiple grass fires burning within the Coorong National Park, north of Kingston in the state's South-East.
20 CFS volunteers on 7 trucks are being assisted by two National Parks and Wildlife Quick Response Vehicles and multiple Farm Fire Units to contain the fires, which are burning in the sand dunes between the coastal fringes and the Princess Highway.
These fires may be causing smoke in the area, and members of the community are urged to take care, and due to the lightning, if you do see an unattended fire to call 000.
