Update for Cudlee Creek fire
ISSUED FOR CUDLEE CREEK
CFS advises that the threat from the Cudlee Creek fire has reduced as the fire is now Controlled.
Over the coming weeks local crews will continue to monitor the fire affected area checking for and extinguishing, hot spots.
Residents are advised to also remain vigilant. Watch out for embers and flare ups in and around the fire ground. Roots and stumps can cause fire outbreaks for a considerable time after a fire.
The community response to this fire has been exceptional. The CFS would like to thank everyone in the community for their attention to the advice provided through warning messages and incident updates.
Firefighters, volunteers, staff, support personnel and allied agencies, along with hundreds of families at home, have been amazing in keeping the impact of the challenging conditions to a minimum.
Residents seeking assistance are encouraged to contact the Department of Human Services.

Road access is being continually reviewed and roads may close at short notice as remediation work continues to be undertaken by the Department for Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) and local councils. There is still the threat of falling branches, trees and wandering stock on roads. A large amount of road signage has been damaged adding an extra risk to road travel.
