Scrub fire Fox in the Lower South East
ISSUED FOR FOX
Five CFS trucks and one Forestry truck are attending a scrub fire in the Fox area, approximately 7kms South West of the intersection of Callendale Road and Khayyam Road. Fire is believed to have started by a lightning strike.
A bulldozer is on scene and will establish a earth break around the fire, and then CFS and Forestry fire fighters will actively mop up and black out the fire. Fire Fighters will remain on scene overnight.
At the moment the fire does not pose a risk to the public, however residents nearby need to remain vigilant and monitor conditions overnight.
