Gammon Ranges National Park Fire

ISSUED FOR GAMMON RANGES NATIONAL PARK

The SA Country Fire Service (CFS) and Department of Environment and Water (DEW) are currently monitoring a fire in the Gammon Ranges National Park, north-east of Nepabunna, Iga Warta and east of Leigh Creek in the Northern Flinders Ranges.

A warning message has been issued for the Gammon Ranges NP fire. Refer to the CFS website cfs.sa.gov.au for the most up to date information.

The fire has burnt approximately 12,000 hectares of National Park in largely inaccessible terrain.

The Gammon Ranges Fire is currently burning in a south-westerly direction.

Earlier today CFS aircraft conducted an observation flight to determine the extent of this fire and to assist with predicting where the fire may travel to.

Extra CFS trucks and resources are being mobilised to this area, ahead of tomorrow's increased fire weather.
