Geranium Haystack Fire

The CFS is attending a haystack fire which is burning on a private property approximately 5km north of the Geranium township in the Murraylands.

Two CFS trucks, supported by multiple Farm Fire Units and the landholder are working together to manage the fire as the haystack burns out. The landholder has also ploughed a mineral break around the fire.

The CFS will work with the landholder to ensure the site is safe ahead of the weekend's hot and dry weather conditions.

While the fire poses no risk to the community, smoke may be seen in the area.
