Island fire in the Riverland
ISSUED FOR GLOSSOP
Currently a fire is burning on an island in the Murray River. The island is not accessible for CFS crews to undertake suppression activities. The fire has burnt majority of the island however there are some heavy timbers that will continue to burn and smoulder for some time. In consultation with the Department of Environment and Water the fire is being monitored.
