GLUEPOT STATION FIRE
ISSUED FOR GLUEPOT
There is a scrub fire burning near Gluepot Station, north of Waikerie in the state's Riverland.
Approximately eight CFS trucks with 40 firefighters are currently working on the fireground, while observational aircraft is being utilised to map the fire's behaviour.
The CFS is also being supported by personnel and heavy machinery from the Department of Environment and Water.
Firefighters are working to reduce the forward rate of spread and reduce the impact to the environment and will remain on scene overnight.
There is smoke in the area, however the fire is largely burning in remote Mallee scrub and doesn't pose any risk to nearby communities.
