GLUEPOT STATION FIRE

There is a scrub fire continuing to burn near Gluepot Station, north of Waikerie in the state's Riverland.
Approximately eight CFS trucks with 40 firefighters are working at the fireground along with personnel and heavy machinery from the Department of Environment and Water and private contractors.
Firefighters are trying to reduce the forward rate of spread and the impact to the environment, and they will remain on scene overnight.
There is smoke in the area, however the fire is largely burning in remote Mallee scrub and doesn't pose any risk to nearby communities.
