Incident Update - Gluepot fire
ISSUED FOR GLUEPOT
There is a scrub fire continuing to burn at Gluepot Station, approximately 50km NW of Renmark and 15 km West of the Pipeline Track in the state's Riverland.
CFS and National Parks and Wildlife Services SA firefighters will continue to work on the fireground for the next several days.
They will support heavy machinery to establish fire breaks to bring the fire under control.
The fire is burning in remote Mallee scrub and currently does not pose any risk to the community.
Levels of smoke in the area may increase and decrease due to firefighting efforts and local weather.
Smoke may be visible from far away and across a wide area of the Riverland.
South-westerly winds are expected across the fireground until Sunday and will push smoke away from built-up areas.
