Electrical substation fire creating large smoke plume


There is an electrical substation fire at Blacktop Road near Williston Road, near Gould Creek in the northern Mount Lofty Ranges, South Australia.

A smoke advice message has been issued for this structure fire.

Refer to the CFS website for the most up to date warning information.

Smoke emitting from this fire may contain toxic particles and people with breathing difficulties should remain indoors with windows closed until the smoke abates.

Approximately seven CFS crews, three MFS crews and two CFS bulk water carriers are attending the fire.

Blacktop Road and Williston Road will be closed until the fire is brought under control.

People should avoid the area.
