Hart Shed Fire
CFS crews are responding to a hay shed fire near Hart in the Mid North of South Australia.
Four CFS trucks are on scene working to create control lines around the shed to contain the fire to the structure and prevent it from spreading to surrounding crop.
The fire has completely engulfed the shed, collapsing the roof and spreading throughout the approximately 5,000 hay bales being stored within. The total damage cost is estimated at $3 million. Due to the magnitude of hay impacted this fire is expected to continue burning over the coming days. No other assets are under threat by this fire.
Smoke from this fire can be seen from surrounding areas including the Horrocks Highway. Anyone in the area is encouraged to drive to conditions if smoke is impacting the road.
