Grass fire East of Naracoorte in the South East of South Australia
ISSUED FOR HYNAM
The SA Country Fire Service is currently attending an active grass fire east of Hynam near the Wimmera Highway towards the Victorian border. There is a current active message in place.
Currently on scene are 16 fire trucks, 60 fire fighters, 20 local farm fire units and 4 fire trucks from Victorian Country Fire Authority. Two aircraft are also actively supporting ground crews.
Biggins Road is closed from Schinckel Road through to the Wimmera Highway.
Public are advised that there is large amounts of smoke and possible falling trees in the area and should take caution and drive to the conditions.
