Joanna fire
Issued for Joanaa near Struan in the South East,15 kilometers south of Naracoorte.
The CFS is responding to a scrub fire near Joanna in Lower South East, South Australia.
A warning message has been issued for the Joanna Fire. Refer to the CFS website cfs.sa.gov.au for the most up to date warning information.
40 CFS firefighters on 9 trucks are being supported by, 3 aerial bombers, 1 blackhawk and 2 aerial observation helicopters, National Parks Wildlife Services SA, One Forty One, PF Olsons and multiple Fire Fighting Units. Crews are working to extinguish the fire and have prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent properties. The operations are also being supported by SA Police.
Emergency services may be working on and around roads in the area. Motorists are advised to stay away and please do not enter the area unless necessary.
This fire may be causing a lot of smoke in the area, and members of the community are urged to take care and close all windows and doors.
