KANGAROO FLAT FIRE
ISSUED FOR KANGAROO FLAT
The CFS has halted the forward rate of spread of a stubble and hay bale fire burning near Redbanks Rd, Kangaroo Flat, approximately 6km North West of Gawler in the Lower Mid North.
12 CFS crews are in attendance with the support of farm fighting units. The hay bales will continue to burn for several hours, and crews will remain at the scene until the fire is fully extinguished.
Redbanks Road is now open, and SAPOL is in attendance to ensure safe access and apply speed limits near the fireground.
Smoke may continue to impact roads in the area, including the Northern Expressway, and visibility may be reduced.
To ensure your safety and that of firefighters and other emergency personnel who are working in the area, please do not enter the area unless necessary.
