The SA Country Fire Service (CFS) advises people in and around the Kanmantoo area in the Mount Lofty Ranges that we are attending a incident in the area of Mine Road.
Currently we have numerous crews on scene which is confined to multiple piles of chicken manure. The fire is not expected to break away from the piles and currently poses no threat to the community.
CFS advises that there may be smoke visible within the area whilst crews work to extinguish the fire.
CFS resources including multiple appliances supported by bulk water carriers will remain on site for some time to extinguish the fire.
As a precaution residents in the area who suffer from respiratory or cardiac conditions may wish to consider closing all doors and windows and remaining indoors.
