Incident update for the Karatta fire

Issued for KARATTA near the south coast of Kangaroo Island..

Firefighting crews have been working to make the Karatta fire safe. To assist this process, crews will be burning some of the unburnt vegetation within the incident area.

Additional smoke may be visible while crews are conducting this burning activity.

Approximately 30 CFS volunteers, supported by National Parks crews and Farm Fire Units are on scene working to make the fireground safe.
