Incident Update for Robertson Road, Keilira Fire
ISSUED FOR KEILIRA
A Watch and Act message is current for the Robertson Rd, Keilira Fire.
This fire has so far burnt around 22,400 hectares with total fire perimeter of 65km.
Crews are still actively working on this fire, which is thought to have been started by dry lightning strikes in the area.
The milder weather conditions have slowed the forward rate of spread of the fire and allowed crews to begin active suppression activities.
There is still significant smoke in the area which may impact the the Riddoch Highway and surrounding areas.
Local road closures are in place and SAPOL are in attendance in the fire area.
Residents in the area need to be aware that if infrastructure has been damaged then communications, power and water supply may be interrupted.
