ISSUED FOR KERSBROOK

CFS advises that the Watts Gully Road, Kersbrook fire has an active Watch and Act Message in place.

The fire is currently south of Watts Gully Road and west of Deloraine Road near the Warren Conservation Park and Mount Crawford Forest.

The CFS has 140 firefighters on the ground with 25 firetrucks and four bulk water carriers.

The yellow Watch and Act area includes Forreston, Cromer, parts of Mount Crawford Forest and surrounding areas.

Motorists and the public are encouraged to avoid the area to ensure their safety, along with that of firefighters and other emergency personnel who are working in the area.

This fire is likely to be a prolonged incident and people in the wider area should consider the options within their Bushfire Survival Plan, potentially for several days.
