KERSBROOK FIRE IS CONTROLLED

ISSUED FOR WATTS GULLY ROAD, KERSBROOK

CFS wishes to advise that the Kersbrook fire is now controlled. CFS crews have worked throughout the night to extinguish the fire and put in control lines. Today (4 Jan 2020) there are firefighters working across the fireground to strengthen control lines and blackout the fire.

Due to increasing fire weather conditions forecast for the middle of next week (8 Jan 2020) the CFS will continue to patrol the fireground over the next few days to ensure the fireground is safe.

All roads in the area are open, however if you do not need to travel in this area please stay away as emergency service crews will be continuing to work over the next few days.

The CFS encourages members of the public to be watchful and report any unattended visible flames on 000.
