Bushfire Incident Update
ISSUED FOR MACCLESFIELD
A bushfire that started near Macclesfield in the Mount Lofty Ranges, approximately 10 km south of Mt Barker has now been contained.
The fire spread quickly into grass and scrub despite mild temparatures and gusty wind conditions, but due to the quick response from multiple aircraft and 8 CFS trucks, the fire was soon under control.
Crews are now working on extinguishing any hotspots that may be continuing to burn within the fire edge.
The fire cause is currently being investigated.
