Melrose Bushfire
ISSUED FOR MELROSE
There is a bushfire at Melrose in the Mount Remarkable Ranges, South Australia.
Approximately 35 CFS and National Parks and Wildlife Services SA and Farm Fire Unit firefighters are currently working on the fire ground, supported by 6 aircraft, including fire bombers and observational aircraft.
Crews have successfully halted the forward rate of spread of this fire. However, the fire may be causing smoke in the area, and members of the community are urged to take care, particularly if driving.
The cause of the fire is believed to have resulted from the band of lightning storms that are moving across the state.
