Meningie East Yumali Road

The CFS is responding to a grass and scrub fire east of Meningie in the Coorong, South Australia.

Approximately 9 CFS fire trucks are on scene, supported by 3 firebombers and observational aircraft. Crews are actively working to bring the fire under control.

The fire is currently burning in grass and scrub and is moving in a south-westerly direction.

The CFS has engaged heavy machinery to help halt the spread of this fire, which is burning in inaccessible terrain.

Crews are expected to remain on scene until the threat has reduced.
