Mount Torrens Fire
ISSUED FOR MOUNT TORRENS
The SA Country Fire Service advises that the fire to the west of the Mount Torrens township on Hirthes Road is contained.
CFS crews are in attendance at this fire and smoke may be still visible in the area for some time.
Local fire crews acted swiftly and with support from aerial resources have contained the fire to just 3 hectares.
There are several houses and other buildings within the vicinity of the fire but firefighter intervention has ensure that no damage has occurred to these structures.
This is a timely reminder that due to the underlying dryness fires will still ignite and can very quickly threaten property. Residents in Bushfire prone areas need to remain vigilant and follow their Bushfire Survival Plan.
