Mount Remarkable National Park
Issued for the Mount Remarkable National Park in the Flinders Ranges.
The SA Country Fire Service (CFS) advises that the Mount Remarkable fire has now been contained by CFS firefighters with the support of National Parks firefighters and aerial firebombing.
The fire burnt 14 hectares of scrub on Mambray Creek Track, 12km's west of Melrose, Flinders Ranges.
It is expected that crews will remain on scene for the remainder of the day in order to extinguish and monitor the fire ground and will continue into tomorrow.
Mount Remarkable National Park will remain open to the public.
