CFS crews are currently still on scene at the Nunn Road fire, which started yesterday evening. While the fire has now been listed as contained, appliances and crews will continue working on the fire ground today extinguishing hotspots to ensure the fire poses no threat during the spell of elevated fire danger weather.
While Main South Road has been reopened to traffic. Please drive with care as crews are actively working in the area.
A large number of burning trees and stumps are present across the fireground and visible from Main South Road.
Smoke may also be present in the area for the next few days.
If members of the public observe flames on the fireground please call "000" to report.
