Scrub and Stubble Fire in Parilla in the Murraylands

ISSUED FOR PARILLA

SA Country Fire Service (CFS) advises that a scrub and stubble fire has been burning near Parilla in the Murraylands causing smoke to be present in the local area.

This fire has burnt approximately 50ha and is now considered contained. Containment lines have been put in place and CFS crews are still on scene mopping up the fire edge.

Smoke is still present in the area and may continue for some time while the fire is fully extinguished. This smoke may impact roads in the area and precautions should be taken to ensure safe driving.

As a precaution residents in the area who suffer from respiratory or cardiac conditions may wish to consider closing all doors and windows and remain indoors.
