INCIDENT UPDATE - POLTALLOCH GRASS FIRE
ISSUED FOR POLTALLOCH
The Country Fire Service (CFS) advises that the Poltalloch fire is now contained.
Crews will be on scene for several hours mopping up hotspots.Several hay stacks have been impacted by the fire and will continue to burn within containment lines overnight.
The community is advised that these haystacks may continue to produce smoke overnight, and smoke will likely be present in the area until tomorrow afternoon.
Lake Albert Road and Princes Highway north of Meningie are open to motorists, however visibility may be reduced due to smoke in the area.
CFS crews will re-attend the scene tomorrow morning and work with the landowner to fully extinguish any remaining fire.
