There is a grass fire at Stamford Drive near Port Lincoln in Lower Eyre Peninsula, South Australia.
Approximately 84 CFS fire fighters in 26 trucks are currently working on the fire.
They are supported by 8 aircraft, including firebombers and observational aircraft. Operations are also being supported by Police, MFS, Ambulance, Council, farm fire units and NPWS.
This fire may be causing a lot of smoke in the area, and members of the community are urged to take care, smoke may be hazardous and urged to stay in doors and closed windows.
ROAD CLOSURES :
Roads have been closed due to this incident.
New West Road
Western Approach Road
Pine Freezer Road
Proper Bay Road
Barley Road
Yandra Terrace
It is expected that these road closures will be in place for some time.
