CFS advises that a fire is burning near the A1 Port Wakefield Highway, approximately 9km South of the Port Wakefield township.
The fire is burning in a North Easterly direction away from the Highway which is down to one lane.
CFS crews are in attendance with the support of aircraft and will remain at the scene until the fire is fully extinguished.
Smoke may be visable for the next hour while crews undertake this work.
