Update on Kangaroo Island bushfire
ISSUED FOR RAVINE
The Ravine fire currently has a Bushfire Advice Message in place. During the day, minor outbreaks were experienced within control lines. CFS crews have been attending to these very quickly to ensure they are contained as soon as possible.
The CFS urges both residents and visitors to use extra caution when driving, even on familiar roads, as conditions may be different and fallen trees may be blocking the road.
There are still multiple road closures across the island. Please refer to www.traffic.sa.gov.au for the latest information.
The road from Kingscote to Seal Bay via Birchmore Rd and South Coast Rd has now been opened for public access.
There is a joint Recovery and CFS meeting at the Parndana Sports Club, Playford Hwy, on Thursday at 7pm. There is a community BBQ beforehand from 6pm, and all members of the public are welcome.
The CFS continues to maintain a presence on the island, so please continue to be vigilant and follow our messaging.
